about destiny of greenwood
Destiny of Greenwood was established in 2004 with a primary focus to ensure no child went hungry. Funded by the Dept of Education and Dept of Social Services, Destiny is an approved CACFP (Child & Adult Care Food Program) and SFSP (Summer Food Service Program) sponsor. Our services are offered free of charge to eligible organizations working with children as young as 3 up to age 18.

free afterschool meals
Destiny offer free afterschool snacks and/or supper meals to children ages 5-18 starting at 2:30pm up until 7pm. The CACFP program is funded by the Department of Social Services and operates during non school hours during the school year. The program adheres to a pre approved menu which includes foods that are healthy, whole grain, low fat, low sugar and more....

free summer meals
Destiny of Greenwood offers free meals in the Summer and/or non school days to children up to age 18 sponsored by the Dept of Education. These healthy meals are offered at no cost to the children or the agencies.
We offer breakfast, snack, lunch and supper meals; all pre-planned and designed to be healthy. We offer several meal options which include cold, hot and shelf stable meals.
We are always open to add more sites but limited in the Summer.. Complete the initial inquiry form for a member of the Destiny team to contact you to see if your site is eligible.

In 2019 1 in 7 children went to bed hungry. As many as 13 million children in the US are come from "food insecure" homes and these parents struggle to feed their children. When school is out many children don't eat. Destiny of Greenwood adheres to the same nutrition guidelines as local school districts to ensure children receive all the healthy nutrition they need.
